For the past 16 years, the Federation’s associations and professionals have been rallying around the National DYS Day (#JNDYS), to raise awareness of learning disorders and their consequences in school life, then at work, but also personally. Dyslexia, dysphasia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, etc., millions of invisible people who say to themselves “I’m ‘DYS’… and later, what will I do?”, the theme of this 17th day!
“I am “Dys”… and what will I do later?”
In partnership with Mila, La Fédération Française des DYS is organizing the 17th national DYS day, around the theme: “I am “Dys”… and what will I do later? ” ! At the Cité internationale universitaire de Paris on Saturday, October 14, 2023, she has come up with a program of conferences, round tables and workshops on the future of DYS:
- A round table discussion on “Integration players: life projects, guidance, professional integration”.
- The screening of the documentary “Non conforme” by Vincent Dumesnil
- A round table on “The benefits of music in DYS rehabilitation”.
- A lecture by Catherine Billard, neuropediatrician, on the possibility of improving learning disabilities in middle school: the benefits of an experimental experiment”.
- An exchange on supporting DYS with Artificial Intelligence
- A presentation of the impact of lamps and glasses on dyslexic reading.

DYS events all over France
In addition to the event organized by the FFDYS in Paris, members of France’s DYS associations are mobilizing in their own towns:
- In Rodez, “Gros plan sur les DYS”, on October 10 and 11, with the screening of the documentary “Papion en avier” and cross-examinations on the management of Specific Learning Disorders;
- In Artigues (near Bordeaux), APAJH Gironde is organizing a conference on October 12 on DYS disorders, within neurodevelopmental disorders: what are we talking about? ” ;
- In Nice, the Saint-Roch Library is taking advantage of the National Day on October 14th to allow families to meet professionals and associations, with the aim of discovering how their child’s brain works;
- In Chasseneuil-du-Poitou (near Poitiers), on October 14, a number of discoveries were made on the ENSMA site, including adapted software, graphotherapy and psychomotricity. Not forgetting the presentation of available accommodation plans(PPRE, PAI, PAP, PPS…);
- In Clermont, in the Oise region, the Salle André Pommery hosts conferences and professionals, as well as 3 DYS testimonials proving that “we can succeed”!
